Ensemble 10:10

Founded in 1997, Liverpool Philharmonic’s 10:10 is a contemporary music group made up of Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra musicians.

Taking on the surprising and the exciting, each 10:10 performance is a showcase of what today’s composers are thinking, creating and presenting – placing a real focus on local talent too.

This album features three new concertos, two of which (Bryars and Carpenter) where commissioned by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society. Composed between 2018 and 2023 these concertos represent three very different answers to the question of what an early 21st century harpsichord concerto might be.
