Jonathan Kuo is a truly extraordinary young pianist, whose rise is redefi ning the “new artist global classical landscape” . Hailing from Indonesia and now studying with the celebrated Van Cliburn laureate Stanislav Ioudenitch , Jonathan Kuo combines the fi nesse of a seasoned interpreter with the thrilling spontaneity of youth. His performances, spanning Mozart to Rachmaninoff, have already captivated audiences across Asia, earning him a reputation for both exceptional virtuosic clarity and rare emotional depth. In recent years he has also graced many of Europe’s most prestigious stages, including The Musikverein, Golden Hall (Austria), The Stiftung Mozarteum in Salzburg (Austria), The Teatro Sociale, Como (Italy) and The Auditorium Conciliazione in Rome (Italy). Formerly a pupil of Iswargia R Sudarno, Kuo has been a Young Steinway Artist since 2018. Recent highlights include Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto with the Jakarta Sinfonia Orchestra, Poulenc’s Concerto for Two Pianos with the Jakarta Sinfonietta, and a commanding performance of Rachmaninoff’s Third Piano Concerto at Singapore’s Victoria Concert Hall in 2024.
