Lobkowicz Trio, ensemble
Lukáš Klánský – piano
Jan Mráček – violin
Ivan Vokáč – violoncello
All three members of the Lobkowicz Trio are acclaimed soloists and chamber musicians. The ensemble used its experience from many stages at home and abroad at the Johannes Brahms International Competition in Pörtschach, Austria, where it won first prize and audience prize in September 2014. The Lobkowicz Trio is also a laureate of the Dvořák International Competition in Prague. The ensemble will perform this season and next at prestigious festivals in Austria and Italy. Thanks to its interplay, convincing interpretation, precise technical level and refined intonation, the ensemble is gaining recognition from the audience and the professional public. The Lobkowicz trio consults with leading Czech artists, such as prof. Ivan Klansky, prof. Miroslav Petráš, or prof. Pavel Hůla.
The name of the ensemble points to the traditional connection between the Lobkowicz family and many composers of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Ludwig van Beethoven dedicated the Lobkowicz Trio Concerto for Piano, Violin, Cello and Orchestra, which are among the highlights of the trio repertoire. The ensemble received permission to use this noble name from Mr. Jaroslav Lobkowicz.
„It is obvious that the inspirational stimuli coming from each member of the ensemble are passed on and form a growing spiral of spells and, in addition, beautify every phrase. Then it is a love of sound and a desire to immediately agree, even to penetrate directly into the mood of the surrounding voices. When the technique is a matter of course, the intonation is perfect, the relaxation of the movements and the holding of the economic tool, then comes the visible joy of the game, which is further transmitted.” (Operaplus.cz, Libor Nováček senior, November 7, 2015).
